The event which took place at Salford University, saw five local organisations receive certificates and plaques to make their achievement in coming through an intensive programme that promotes good practice in diversity and volunteering. The 'Towards Excellence in Volunteering' programme is funded by money from the Big Lottery Fund and aims to develop best practice around working with volunteers throughout Salford. It focuses on developing and supporting five organisations each year to increase Diversity through Good Practice in Volunteering.
