Volunteering for All
Worcester Volunteer Centre held a one day event around recruiting socially excluded people into volunteering. Their main aim was to equip all voluntary organisations, large or small, with new knowledge around recruiting typically hard to reach groups.
There were four workshops held throughout the day with each delegate able to go to all of them. There was also a motivational speech from a local organisation giving delegates information about how he has attracted volunteers from minority groups.
The day was well attended with around 60 people across Worcestershire. It was well facilitated and provided lots of time to network.
