developing partners (dp) is a social enterprise that was founded in March 2007, with funding from the Dept of Health Social Enterprise Fund. It is led and run by people who have long term mental health needs in order to work in partnership with people who experience social exclusion, to develop and deliver training and research that is of value to people on the ground. They do not use capital letters in their name to reflect their grass roots approach to our work.

developing partners held a taster event around raising awareness of mental health. Once the delegates had attended the conference they were then able to attend four mental health first aid training sessions. This helped to ensure that an increased number of the voluntary and community organisations in the Middlesbrough area are now able to offer placement support tailored to the needs of those staff and volunteers who experience mental health needs.
