Volunteer Centre Chelmsford helps to develop and co-ordinate volunteering in Chelmsford. They help voluntary organisations with volunteer recruitment, promote benefits of volunteering to the community and provide information to prospective volunteers and offer support to help prospective volunteers enter volunteering.

The event, which is being run by the Volunteer Centre Chelmsford’s Extra Support Needs Project, they held a one day event providing Information around how to encourage people with extra support needs into volunteering. There was a motivational speaker, and people who gave first hand experiences working with VC Chelmsford along with a range of workshops.

It was well attended by a range of organisations based around London. Many felt that they had learnt something new from the day and they have received lots of positive feedback since they held their event.
