Engaging & Empowering Young Volunteers: Good Practice in Youth Involvement Event

Envision aims to enable young people (16-19) to realise their capacity to “make a difference” - by providing them with inspiring, relevant and properly supported volunteering opportunities. Through their programmes young people learn new skills, build their confidence and self-esteem and grow more aware about pressing social and environmental issues.
Envision held a one day event to share good practice around encouraging young people to volunteer. They explained their own envision flavour and gave a demonstration of what they do when they go into schools. We also had a short time to come up with a new youth project and then pitch our ideas to a young panel of volunteers, dragon’s den style!
