Attend is a national membership organisation which aims to develop the role of volunteers in health and social care. They provide support including insurance, funding, networking and training for 750 member groups (on statutory and community sites) representing 31000 volunteers. They also work with national partners to increase the recognition and resources given to volunteering in health & social care.
This event provides the opportunity to build on thinking and initiatives achieved with previous ‘Attend - Working with Disabled Volunteers’ workshops, and create a forum where volunteering and disability can be progressed.
Attend’s workshop is for those working with or coordinating volunteers in hospitals, including line managers, supervisors, team leaders, chairmen, as well as managers and coordinators of volunteer groups seeking best practice and learnings from others’ practice. The guest speaker will be Becki Cullen - Inclusive Volunteer Coordinator, Scope and the facilitator-led discussions will include presentations, case studies, group and individual exercises/activities.
